Interests: Good people, floating down a river, rollercoasters, swinging from a rope into a cold lake and trying to swim back when you can't feel a muscle in your body. Relaxing to a song that drives and drives hard...the louder the better.
Teaching a kid a new skill like throwing a ball and watching them light up when they say "I did it." That's awesome. Hearing a child pray.

| I have never had a girl friend before, but had often seen couple talk about their One Year Anniversary. I was always jeleous (sp?). However that has all changed. This past Saturday marked the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Janelle and I. It has been one the greatest times in my life. I have never experienced so much, grown so much in my entire life. She is more than what I could have dreamed for. Not only does she encourage me, love me, and trust me (which a man who is married or is in a relationship knows is crucial to the spirit of a man) but Her life and being make me 1. want to be a better person, grow from who I was when we met, 2. Challenged me in areas that I have called my guilty pleasures (movies--should christians really see rated R movies? Should we watch movies where the predominant theme is cheating, or adultury, or murder.) I would not change my life for anything. On Saturday we drove to Eureka Springs which is a beautiful drive in itself. Janelle asked me to find a spot to stop and look at the scenery. So we did. She gives me this amazingly sweet card that told me how she felt. Then...out of no where she gives me this ring. Folks I am telling you, I was shocked. This ring was something we saw while Wedding Ring shopping. A white gold ring with a blue saphire. It is like a power ring, or for you biblical people out there a Signet ring. On the inside she had engraved a phrase that she feels best suits me, a man after God's heart. I was blown away. She is an outstanding woman, a treasure to behold both in beauty and spirit. love you babe | | |
| my fiance is the most beautiful girl in the world. It is impossible for her to look anything but amazing. And then ther's me, a scrub of a man. I hardly ever shave, wear shorts with holes in them, and not the kind that are ok in public. Why she digs this scruffy being I will never know, but I love it.
Seminary is challenging, but not in the way I thought it would be. Intellectually yes, but more so spiritually. Now not the whole "what your learning is challenging my faith." not really. It is actually the feeling of: man, I am at seminary all day, church on wednesday and four hours of church on Sunday. Do I really have to pray? Oh yes little peon (talking to myself) you have to keep praying, because there is no substitute for an intimate relationship with God himself. You can't replace that with spending more time with God's people and hope it works out to where you and God are like this (I am crossing my fingers to symbolize being homies). Not saying that fellowship isn't important, but there is a drastic difference between spending time with God's people and with God.....or is there...that's an interesting thought. Especially since Jesus promised "whereever two or more gather in my name, I am there."
Anywho, I am currently seeking out a laptop purchase. Anyone have any suggestions? | | |
| It's been a long time since I posted last. Here's some news I recently started AGTS, which is kicking my butt around the block. I swear I have read more in the last week than I did at SMS all four years. Praise God though, for His peace will get me through it. And, God has blessed me with a support that is beyond my understanding. My fiance. Janelle has been amazing through this transition in my life. Not only does she pray for me, but she also listens to all my doubts, concerns, and complaints. She keeps me in check and I really appreciate that. More so, with getting married, she has really been amazing at getting stuff done. In just under two months, we have the reception place, the church, the pastor, the rehearsal (sp?) dinner, the DJ, the "save the date" magnets, and yes...we even have our wedding rings (mine at least, hers is on the way.) Janelle is the coolest girl I know, not to mention she is a fellow goofball. She loves to cook, and I love to eat. It's a good thing. She loves me, and I love her. I love her with all my heart. My first day of class she gave me a card that basically said " I believe in you." it was beautiful. | | |
| If you would like to hear how I proposed, You can go to my Fiance's xanga or face book. Her xanga is the first one on my subscriptions "janellemarie" or, go to her face book and search for janelle estes. She will accept you as a friend and you can look at all the pictures. Love peace and chicken grease. I love my fiance. | | |
